The term ‘sleep training’ can mean different things to different people. I define sleep training as behaviour modification based strategies (which focus mainly on ‘teaching’ babies to ‘self settle’ and fall asleep independently) and Non-responsive or minimally responsive methods. As a holistic sleep consultant, I don’t use any sleep training approaches.
As a holistic sleep consultant, I don't offer any sleep training strategies or techniques, which means I don't use any cry it out methods or strategies that have forced or timed parental withdrawal of support. Instead I focus on working with you to get to the root of your sleep challenges and offer responsive and attachment focused sleep solutions. So if you are looking for truly gentle, evidence based, developmentally appropriate and age appropriate sleep solutions, then I’m your sleep consultant!

In short, I can’t, due to the nature of holistic sleep support, I can’t give you any guarantees or exact timelines, as much of this will be determined by your little one’s temperament, unique sensory preferences, the kind of sleep changes we are making and any possible underlying conditions.
I do guarantee however, that after working with me you will walk away feeling calm and confident about your little one’s sleep.

No you don’t!
Especially if the way your doing things at the moment is feeling right and working for your family.
Often societal norms or outside pressure from friends and family can make us feel like we should work on or change sleep, even if it’s currently working and feeling right for us.
I’m here to tell you - you do you! Do what works, do what feels right, do what feels easiest.
For example, you may have been told “your baby really should be doing more independent sleep by now.”
Yes, there is so much you can do to foster independent sleep, gently and responsibly - but the really cool thing is if you chose to do nothing, your little one will eventually sleep independently, cool right! You actually don’t have to change anything!!!
